7 February has a lot of History for Chikopi.

1804 John Deere was born in Rutland, Vermont. Chikopi bought its first Johnny in 2016.

1812 Charles Dickens was born in Portsmouth, England. Many of Dickens's books can be found in Chikopi's Paul Jackson Library and Game Room.

1867 Laura Ingalls Wilder was born in Wisconsin. Little House on the Prairie is on Mrs. Mann's bookshelf.

1873 Thomas Andrews was born in Ireland. Mr. Andrews designed the luxury liner, Titanic. In 1991, Chikopi alum Dr. Joe MacInnis was an advisor to the Titanic discovery team; he dove to Titanic's bridge deck. It was this expedition that inspired James Cameron's Academy Award-winning movie. In 2019, MacInnis received the Swimming Hall of Fame Gold Medallion.

1908 Buster Crabbe was born in Oakland, California. Buster played Flash Gordon and Tarzan; both movies were favourites played in the Chikopi PlayHouse. Buster and Matt Mann II were among the first honorees to be Inducted into the Swimming Hall of Fame in 1965.

1968 Mark Tewksbury was born in Calgary, Canada. Mark is a Chikopi alum and a 2000 inductee into the Swimming Hall of Fame.
