All meals at Camp Chikopi are cooked from scratch in our camp kitchen by long-serving cooks who are a valued part of the Chikopi community. We do not rely on microwaves or pre-prepared meals. Food is made on site using familiar, wholesome ingredients suited to active, growing boys.
Meals are served in our dining hall, where campers are seated at mixed tables with boys of different ages and nationalities. This helps campers meet others across camp and learn about different backgrounds and customs. Counselors are assigned to each table to serve, supervise, and keep meals organised and enjoyable.
Portions are generous, menus are balanced, and meals are designed to provide steady energy throughout the day.

Why Mealtime Matters at Camp
Meals at Camp Chikopi are about more than nutrition.
Sitting down together three times a day provides structure, routine, and a chance for boys to relax, talk, and connect with others. Mealtime helps strengthen friendships and gives campers a sense of belonging within the camp community.
For many boys, the dining hall becomes one of their favourite places at camp.
