2010 Daily Schedule
Here is a sample of the expected "normal" day for 2010. Each day is different but this will give you an idea of how Campers spend their days.

- 7:15am WAKE-UP
- 7:30am EARLY BIRD ACTIVITY/EXERCISE
- Open Water Swimming
- Canoeing
- Running
- Kayaking
- 8:15am BREAKFAST
- Nutritious, 2-course breakfasts
- Juices, Cold or Hot Cereal & Hot Main course
- Fresh baked bread at EVERY meal
- Family-style meals served by counselor at head of each table
- Announcements at the conclusion of each meal
- 9:25am INSPECTION
- Cabin clean-up
- Personal clean-up time
- 9:35am CABIN CLASS PERIODS
- Three 50-minute, sport offerings teaching the fundamentals of each sport
- Small-cabin-sized classes, thus ensuring individualized instruction
- More advanced instruction for a camper's primary or secondary sport or interest
- 12:30pm LUNCH
- Soup or Salad appetizer
- Sandwiches, casseroles, and other lighter fare
- Fresh Bread
- Juice and Dessert
- Each meal homemade, hearty, healthy and plenty
- "Mail Call" after lunch
- Announcements
- 1:30pm REST HOUR
- Optional sleep time
- Reading, writing, or low-key activity outside of cabin
- 2:30pm TEAM SPORT PRACTICES (SWIMMING, SOCCER, TENNIS, RUNNING & BASEBALL)
- The only time there is a distinction between competitive/non-competitive swimmers
- Non-competitive swimmers choose to join one of our other sports teams
- 3:40pm TEAM COMPETITION ACTIVITY
- Camp's six teams participate in sportsmanlike competition in dual and team championship activities
- Golden Rule emphasized in all activities
- Focus is FUN - "That's what summer camp is all about!"
- 4:40pm ELECTIVE ACTIVITY TIME
- Choose from numerous elective opportunities: sailing, windsurfing, mountain biking, swimming, beach, canoeing, kayaking, archery, tennis and more
- 6:00pm DINNER
- Heavier meal. Carbohydrate re-loading
- Soup or Salad appetizer. Fresh Bread. Pastas, meat dishes, etc.
- Conversation encouraged, invoked at each table at all meals
- Manners instilled and required
- 7:15pm EVENING ACTIVITY
- Lower-intensity
- War Canoe practice
- Organized evening activity or "pick-up" games
- 8:30pm TUCK SHOP/CAMPFIRES/INSPIRATIONAL TALK
- Campfires allow for reflective time (of singing) and appreciation for friendships
- Occasional inspirational talks from visiting Olympians, Olympic coaches and others
- Tuck Shop open daily (except Sunday), for needed toiletries, supplies, or camp clothing. Also, a limited selection of candies
- Both camps are non-denominational. Arrangements may be made for out-of-camp services. Campers may participate in weekly vesper service, which stresses the importance of good citizenship, friendship, loyalty and honesty
- 9:30pm SNACKS & BEDTIME
- Bedtime stories
- Counselors present at all times when campers are in cabins
