Camp Longhorn - Camp Chikopi Connection

Dear Colette and all,

                I want to congratulate you on 100 years!! During this crazy time all of us are feeling a little uncertain. I hope and pray your summer goes on without a hitch so you can celebrate accordingly.

My father, Tex Robertson swam for Matt Mann and worked at Camp Chikopi in the summers. It was always his dream to have a Camp just like his mentor.

                Camp Longhorn is celebrating our 81^st summer and there would not be a Camp Longhorn if it were not for Camp Chikopi! In addition, want you to know that Bob was a great friend and Mentor. We met when Tex was inducted into the International Swimming Hall Of Fame in 2003. He gave me the inspiration and guidance to start the Texas Swimming and Diving Hall of Fame www.tsdhof.org 12 years ago. He will always be remembered.
