Dear Camp Families,
Kids in Camp (KIC) was established in 2008 as a registered charity, affiliated with the OCA, with the principal mandate to provide financial assistance to families who otherwise would not be able to send their kids to a summer camp.
KIC welcomes applications from all OCA accredited camps, (Chikopi), for our assistance in supporting a child who is in financial need and would like to attend the Chikopi program in 2013. The application is in two parts: i) a form to be completed by the camp director, and ii) a form to be completed by the camper’s parent or guardian. Both forms should be sent together, along with confirmation of the family’s income, and forwarded by the camp director to KIC before February 1st, 2013.
To date, KIC has sponsored over 450 children to attend 35 different OCA camps. As a result of successful fundraising events and generous donors, we are able to assist in offering a camp experience to more children in the summer of 2013. It is our hope that more camps will pursue this opportunity to include a deserving camper in their program. For more information about KIC please visit our website at www.kidsincamp.com.
Please forward completed applications to info@kidsincamp.com or by fax to 416-225-6036 by February 1st. The KIC Campership Committee will review the applications and respond to the camps by March 15, 2013 indicating to what extent we can financially support each request.
